Big Car Gallery - New project taking place in the Wheeler

Hello everyone! The BFG will be open for First Friday on November 6th. Resident artists have created work based on a theme in conjunction with Big Car Gallery's "Made For Each Other" project, an initiative funded by a grant from the Great Indy Neighborhoods Initiative (GINI).
Made for Each Other is a series of eight community-based social-practice and public-art exhibitions and events happening in different neighborhoods across Indianapolis. Big Car Collective, a group of Indianapolis-based artists, will be leading the efforts to implement the projects in 2009-2010.

Calling all local artists! Wanna be a Guest Artist at the Fall Open House?

The Winter Open House is coming up on December 4th and 5th. We've got LOTS of wall space to show on. The gist is:

$20 for both days, 10 - 15 feet of wall space, no sales commission

Friday, December 4th, 6-10pm
Saturday, December 5th, 1pm-5pm

-The Grand Opening of Wheeler’s new in-house gallery:
The Benjamin Franklin Gallery

- Performances in the Theater by Wheeler resident and
Magician Sean Scott, and art collective Know No Stranger

- Resident Artist studios, local guest exhibitors, food and drink

- Live musical performances by Wheeler residents
DJ Alsmashya and Daryl Spurlock, Tonos Triad, and more!

- Open on Saturday during the Fountain Square Art Fair,
and Masterpiece in a Day

Calling all local artists! Wanna be a Guest Artist at the Fall Open House?

The Fall Open House is coming up on September 18th and 19th. We've got 10-15 booth spaces available for people with crafts, and lots of wall space to show on. The gist is:

$20 for both days, 6' booth or 10' wall space, no tax ID needed, no sales commission

Saturday, September 19th, 10am-4pm

***Saturday is the Fountain Square Art Fair (right across the street from Wheeler) and Masterpiece in a Day, and we will be open. LOTS of people in Fountain Square both days.
